Welcome to the digital Encyclopedia of Indianapolis, a dynamic knowledge platform about the stories and places we claim as our own. It offers thousands of entries; interactive timelines, maps and atlases; topical features; and neighborhood profiles and histories. New content will be added regularly. 

 

Developed by IUPUI’s Polis Center with input from 11 cultural heritage institutions, the digital Encyclopedia of Indianapolis’ permanent home will be with The Indianapolis Public Library.
